DESIRE for NO DESIRE

Happinees...........the thing nobody knows about but yet everybody wants to catch hold of it....

Really I have tried a lot to understand about it..but in the end was never able to arrive at any conclusion......

What is happiness?,,,,thats the question troubling me from quite a few years. I have thought a lot about it...asked about happiness to lot of people around me...but nobody was able to give me a comfortable answer which can make me satisfied... Some of the answers I came to heard are

Happiness is absense of troubles..

Happiness arise from a problem free life..

Happiness is fulfillment of your dreams.

Happiness is feeling when u achieve evryhting u want.

And a lot and lot of things having the same meaning...

Many of us connects happiness to achieve something in life. We all in our life time has felt so called ”happy” when we achieve something, it may be getting admission in to some gr8 institute or getting success in buisness or meeting someone special. Does the feeling is really ”happiness”..if it is why we feel it only for a short time.

Why the feeling disappears after somedays after achieving our desired goal.?

Why we dont feel it continuously as we have already achieved what we desired for?

I think we are missing something here. Happiness cant be fulfillment of your desire or the feeling after you have achieved something.

What i think happiness is (I may be totally wrong)...

HAPPINESS is the ABSENSE OF DESIRE

Have you ever thought what make you feel happy when you get what you want. If the answer is NO..please try it

I think when we achieve anything ..for some period of time our mind becomes so obessed with it that we at that point have no desires. Our mind at that point is totally absent of any desire. Thats it..the feeling of NO DESIRE is that feeling which we call happiness....but as the time passes our mind sees some new dreams..some new desires pop up... which destroys the feeling of happiness which we felt some time ago...

So to be happy we should do our karma without any desire or hoping to get something in return......but I know it is very easy to say but to put it in practise it too tough......

Dont u think its a irony ..we DESIRE for a FEELING OF NO DESIRE.

But my other view point says that if we will have NO DESIRE we will never be able to stretch ourselves to limit to achieve it and we will never be able to  grow .....

But the question arises again...after achieving so much do we really feel HAPPY...

Friends if you have reached till the end of this post of my confused mind...do think on it and provide your comments feeling....

HUHA INDIA...ghar aagaya India

HUHA INDIA………….GHAR AAGAYA INDIA

Now our beloved and world’s richest team is back from a fantastic tour of WORLD CUP.  Don’t worry I m not going to write the reasons for failure of the team. I love to see BLESSING IN DISGUISE.  I am going to write down the advantages which are resulted from the early EXIT of Team INDIA from World Cup.

I'm glad the World Cup's over for India. And here are many good reasons for it – Just have a look over them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

(NO OFFENCE MEANT TOWARDS ANYONE)

1) We can now easily understand and keep it in mind that there are many more countries than ours which play the greatest game in the Universe. And that the richest cricket body doesn't necessarily have to produce the best cricket.

2) We can put our India Rising and those caps, t-shirts, bands and all other crap in our cupboards for another couple of couple years (four years) and get back to work and remember never to have so high expectations for the team which is always CONSISTENTLY INCONSISTENT.

3) We will not have to sit in front of idiot box (TV) and listen to those foolish and funny songs specially created for Team India.

4) Now we will not be forced to watch our hardworking cricketers in all those TV Ads from hair gel to cold drinks to even eggs. Now we can watch some ads with some cute faces and sexy figures.

5) Now our legends like Nikhil Chopra, Nayan Mongia, Syed Kirmani, Ajay Jadeja etc etc……………..will not have to waste their time to provide their valuable analysis of the game. (GOD knows do they themselves know what they are talking about?).

6) Now our heroes like Kapil Dev, K Srikkanth, Sunil Gavaskar, D.vengserkar and all others will not have to give crap suggestions and comments to be alive in MEDIA.

7) We can support the team who really plays good cricket then whether it is BANGLADESH or AUSTRALIA.

8) Bollywood actor and actresses will not have to say some good words and BEST LUCK messages and now they can concentrate on their work. Mandira Bedi  and Rakhi Sawant can now find some other good work.

9) We will not be tempted to take part in those SMS competitions and forwarding of good luck messages for Team India. Now we can use that money and mobile balance to call our beloved and close ones and ask them their well being..

10) News channel now can show some other news related to topic other than Cricket. Now they can start showing the other silly news which they are good at showing

11) Now we will not have to remain awake late in the night. Now u can go to offices colleges at proper time without being late.

12) Now we will save a lot of electricity as we will not keep our TV and lights on late in the night.

13) Now we will not eat those chips, biscuits and other stuff while watching cricket and now keep an eye on our diet.

14) Now we will not have to pray to GOD during each India match to help them in crisis situation (in which they always are). Now GOD can concentrate more on other problems of the world.

FRNDS…………….article over….Now go and read something better……(if you have more free and faltu time read my other posts)

Do comment on this post.

P.S No offence meant to anyone. I have no intention to hurt anybody. it was just for fun. I am a diehard fan of Team India. Its all a game…u win sometime and loss much more time………..

The zahir

THE ZAHIR

Paulo Coelho

Paulo Coelho's novel The Zahir is about a renowned author who writes about spirituality and once went on a pilgrimage along the road to Santiago. On a return visit, he is suddenly abandoned by his wife, who leaves no trace of herself behind. As the story unfolds the author becomes obsessed with understanding the reason for her desertion. Was she kidnapped, blackmailed, or simply bored with their marriage? His search for her - and for the truth of his own life - takes him from South America to Spain, France, Croatia and, eventually, the bleakly beautiful landscape of Central Asia. More than that, it leads him into a new understanding of the nature of love, the power of destiny and what it really means to follow your heart.

Really the novel is a average one (of course if u have a lot of free time then try reading it) if you like novels with a philosophical touch. The novel, though seems to be boring in its later part, is a novel which forces the reader to think about love, freedom, dreams, independence and our way of living life.

Just look to an excerpt from this book………

A woman is concerned that her lover is going back to his wife. He explains: 'Marie, let's suppose that two firemen go into a forest to put out a small fire. Afterwards, when they emerge and go over to a stream, the face of one is all smeared with black, while the other man's face is completely clean. My question is this: Which of the two will wash his face?'

'That's a silly question. The one with the dirty face of course.'

'No. The one with the dirty face will look at the other man and assume that he looks like him. And, vice versa, the man with the clean face will see his colleague's grime and say to himself: I must be dirty, too. I'd better have a wash.'

'What are you trying to say?' 'I'm saying that, during the time I spent in hospital, I came to realise that I was always looking for myself in the women I loved. I looked at their lovely, clean faces and saw myself reflected in them. They, on the other hand, looked at me and saw the dirt on my face and, however intelligent or self-confident they were, they ended up seeing themselves reflected in me and thinking that they were worse than they were. Please, don't let that happen to you.'

But as novel progresses, it really becomes confusing what author wants to conveys to its reader. Many things written in the novel are practically impossible in real life. Like “forgot your history/past life”. Does it seem so easy to forget everything? We know our every deed in present and future depends on our past. We make our views beliefs on what has happened with us in past. I agree that that we should not allow past interfering with our present but forgetting past is not the correct way. I think past experiences are like lessons which help us in direct or indirect way to take decisions in present. The past experiences are like our own treasure. Use your treasure properly to go forward in your life.

Like this many ideas of this novel seems impractical to be followed in real life. The ideas are so abstract that the while reading I was forced to think whether this ideas are really worth and have some place in my world. From the my view point, this novel seems to be like a bundle of abstract ideas.

This was my views….do read this novel and let me know your comments

The Innocent Man

Last night I completed The Innocent Man” by John Grisham. It is the first work of non-fiction by Grisham and it really is a shocking book. The book is about the false conviction of two guys on the charges of a murder. The cooked testimonies, the fabricated evidences, and some junk science led to two guys being falsely imprisoned for 11 years. One of them was just days away from being executed and the death row made him insane.

In 1971, Ron Williamson left Ada, Oklahoma, as a draft pick for a pro baseball team. It was a dream comes true that shattered six years later, after his pursuit of drinking, drugs and women, compounded by a bad arm, landed him back home and going nowhere. It wasn’t hard for anyone who was looking to see that Williamson was in a bad way. But was he a killer?

When Debra Sue Carter was raped and murdered in 1982, the police were convinced Williamson and his friend Dennis Fritz were responsible, despite being told the 21-year-old cocktail waitress was last seen arguing with a male high school friend the night of the killing. Based on zero physical evidence and the word of disreputable snitches, the two were hounded for five years before being arrested and found guilty. But while Fritz was given a life sentence, Williamson was sent to Death Row, where he stayed for twelve long years…

This is a nice book, written about an appalling set of circumstances, in which Ron Williamson and Dennis Fritz was arrested, and in which they found himself sitting on death row, awaiting the final walk of his life. This book greatly describes the events that changed the life of both the victims and people who are near and dear to them.

The central character of the book is Ron Williamson, a character who has been wrongly convicted in the rape and murder case. Thought Ron is wrongly convicted and faces 12 years on death row it hardly appeals for any support to the reader, it just arouses only sympathy and pity. Ron had already destroyed his life in pursuit of drugs, drinks and women before the arrest. He was always a problem and a great matter of concern to his near and dear ones. Ron lacks confidence and fighting back spirit. Even after his release and getting some million dollars as compensation, he reverts back to his old life style of drugs, drinks and women.

Dennis Fritz was the only character who has greatly impressed me. He with hardly any monetary and legal support of his family (aged mother and his little daughter) has the fighting back spirit. He utilizes his time in jail to study laws and cases of wrong conviction which greatly affected his release. He is the person who is the real world person who transits from phases of frustration but always dreams for a free life and nice future and do everything possible to make the dreams come true.

The novel makes you think a lot about the society. The society doesn’t support Ron or Dennis just because they had a bad image and don’t look in to facts which leads to their conviction. This book made me think and analyzes my inner self. Really I think we form a opinion about a person based on our perceptions rather than facts. We form opinions based on someone’s cloths or his/her appearance and facts which we hear. We easily believe things told to us by our friends, media or people around you. We never take any pains to analyze whether the things which we believe are really true.
